'A Passion for the Cayman Islands' - The Adam’s family name is known throughout the Cayman Islands and has played such a vital role in shaping us. From our Airlines, to our first bookstore, politics, telecommunications and more recent our turtle farm, the Adam’s has been helping to build a brighter future for our Country for many, many years.
In the early days of BWI to Cayman Airways, the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam was an integral part of it all, and their sons (Billy, Mike and Timmy) grew up right in the middle. Mike quickly took over Cayman Airways, pushing us into the future; Billy at Hobbies and Books (our first and only bookstore for a long time) and then Timmy who managed our first telecommunications company, Cable & Wireless, providing us with decades of service.
The Adam’s has had a hand in so many aspects of our industry, helping to build our economy and linking the Cayman Islands to the world. It would seem as though the name has always been around, and in fact, it goes much farther back through the Bodden’s; the Adam’s other half of the family.
Tonight, it is a pleasure to have Mr. Timmy Adam share the rich history of his forefather and mother and a small portion of his wealth of knowledge. While all three sons have made tremendous contributions to our Country, it is Timmy who sits with us this evening to talk about his story with telecommunication and the Cayman Islands Turtle Farm.
A true Gentleman with many years of experience, an astute mind and deep analytic insight about the Country and it’s people, he is always thinking of fresh and new ideas on how we can improve the Cayman Islands to take us to the next level.
