Vision Special Edition - Andy E. Martin "Cayman Cowboy"

Uploaded on Dec 23, 2015

From the tiny little Island of Cayman Brac comes a great big voice - One that most of us would have grown up hearing on the radio, none other than Caymanian Singer and Song writer Mr. Andy Martin.

Made popular with songs such as "Letters from Sea", "Cayman Cowboy" and "Going back to the Brac again", his songs made us all laugh and cry and will always remain near and dear to all of us, with a special pride for the 'Brackers' who are reminded of that special place they call home.

Andy Martin sits with Ellio Solomon of Vision, sharing his early years of growing up in the Brac and what life was like back in the day when farming and fishing were a daily task for survival.

Andy shares his story with the world of who, how and what was the road leading up to the Cayman Cowboy. The tragedies and triumphs in his life, the true essence of what makes a good song writer who touches the hearts and spirit of the Island people. And the meaning behind the songs.

Mr. Andy's songs will continue to stay with all of us around the Caribbean region because that history is a part of who we are.
