Heart Talk with Steve McField - Caymanian Life in the 50s & 60s - Clothing & Fashion: How did we dress?

Life in the Cayman Islands in the 50s & 60s was very rural. Caymanian's worked very hard and earned very little. We were known as "The Islands that time forgot".
Did being forgotten mean that we ran around in grass shirts and coconut tops or were we fashion conscience people who sailed off to Miami, New York, Paris to buy the latest fashion? Did we follow the trends back then? If not, who made our  clothes, who designed them, where did we get fabrics. Were Caymanian people up to the latest fashion, did we actually care "what was in Style " and if so, did we create it ourselves?

Did men buy the clothing for their wives when they went abroad or did the wives take extravegant shopping trips. Hear more of our Cayman History from the past.
