Great Britain Means Business: Showcasing the UK in the Dominican Republic

Great Britain Means Business: Second Commercial Meeting with Great Britain", it was an event dedicated exclusively to Great Britain and its success was thanks to the participation of British companies and/or British representations in the established country.

On Tuesday 25th September was celebrated the event called "Great Britain Means Business: Second Commercial Encounter with Great Britain", organized by the Commercial Section of the British Embassy in Santo Domingo, which started with a Business Forum in which nine British companies (new to the market) who came in a trade mission, and presented each company, showcasing their products and services to a selected group of Dominican businessmen.

The British companies that participated in the trade mission were: Bicom Systems (telecommunications); Caribbean Trading Ltd (Food and Drink); EBLEX (Food); Green Future Fuels (Oil); Hockley International (Chemicals); Rossa Consulting (Construction); Saint Michael's College (Education); TVET UK (Education).

At the end of this activity, His Majesty's Ambassor Steven Fisher inaugurated the second British Trade Fair that is held in the Dominican Republic. In this activity the British companies already established in the country, had an exhibition of the goods and services that are currently being offered in the Dominican market, and where about 700 people gathered to witness the event. During the trade fair, simultaneous meetings, product launches and guided whisky tastings of the major brands present in the country were carried out.

The British companies that participated in the Trade Fair were: Bupa Dominicana, S.A.; BT Global Services; Chivas Regal; Deloitte; Dewar's; G4S; Landrover; Jaguar Dominicana; Johnnie Walker; Smartcartridge; TALL Security Print; The Macallan; Unilever; and Pinewood Indomina Studios.

Great Britain Means Business: Second Commercial Meeting with Great Britain", it was an event dedicated exclusively to Great Britain and its success was thanks to the participation of British companies and/or British representations in the established in the country; those Dominican firms that maintain great trade relations with Great Britain, as well as the presence of Dominicans entrepreneurs with desires to begin commercial relations with the companies in the Trade Mission visitors, and the great support of the national press.
