The Cayman Invitational started back in 2010 when Cydonie Mothersill wanted to bring some of the best athletes back to her home. She wanted to give the Cayman Islands a delightful experience by being able to see the best and brightest stars. In 2012, the dream became a reality. Not only did this first year meet do well, it made waves in the track & field community as well as the athletes. It was important to Mothersill to provide an experience like no other meet she had been to. She wanted to make this meet the best experience the athletes.
