2014 Cayman Islands Deep Reef Expedition | California Academy of Sciences
The 2014 California Academy of Sciences Cayman Islands Deep Reef Expedition took place March 2014, with the aim of collecting invasive mesophotic Lionfish from 70-100m to analyze stomach contents and DNA. Scientific collection permits were issued by the Cayman Islands Department of Environment. The scientific dive team included Luiz Rocha, Bart Shepherd, and Elliott Jessup.
